Housekeeping Staff – Full Time
Housekeeping staff are required to work 8 hour shifts; 40 hrs/wk. unless hired part-time. The work week may be adjusted as seasonal and operational demands require. Some overtime may be required. Certain licenses and physical abilities are required to maintain employment. Housekeepers must also possess the strength, endurance and stamina to work long shifts, respond to facility emergencies, provide basic life support such as CPR and as required to respond to medical and other emergencies. Strength, balance and dexterity is required as to carry, climb and work on a ladder, kneel and/or work from a kneeling position, reach and work over head, load, carry and unload materials, supplies, equipment, and other heavy objects weighing as much as 40 pounds individually. Larger and heavier objects are frequently moved with the assistance of others. Housekeeping staff must be able to work with hand, power and other tools whether in the shop, in the field and at heights. Many tasks occur in enclosed and uncomfortable locations and positions at all ranges of temperature and weather. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.

- Housekeeping chores including all fixtures, surfaces, floors, walls, ceilings, doors windows, tile, Carpet, mirrors, vents, lighting, tables, chairs, furniture, shelves, closets, utility rooms, office, storage and laundry spaces whether public or Member-Only.
- Laundry
- Inspection, repair and cleaning of chairs and tables.
- Disinfecting Chairs and tables
- Set up and Break down of chairs, tables and event related equipment; indoors and outside
- Clean and periodic Pressure washing of locker rooms, showers, bathrooms
- Pressure wash pool deck, outdoor deck and seating areas
- Pressure washing concrete surfaces
- Pressure washing exterior surfaces and structures
- Trash collection and disposal from facility receptacles and recycling
- Trash collection from sidewalks, bushes, lawns, parking lot, walks, etc.
- General disinfection and care of all surfaces as required to mitigate transfer of disease
- Window washing inside/out
- Housekeeping Equipment care and maintenance
- Periodic Carpet cleaning/shampoo
- Periodic Restaurant and kitchen cleaning and sanitation
- Billiard, card and other game table/equipment cleaning and maintenance
- Ice machine, refrigeration, freezer, cooking and coffee machine sanitation.
- Periodic restaurant and kitchen equipment sanitation.
- Clean, dust and otherwise inspect lighting, signage and Security systems
- Magnetic door catch test and inspection
- Leaf and debris removal around doorways, carpets and entry areas.
- Safety and safety equipment inspections
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate equipment such as blowers, floor polishing equipment, vacuum, shop vac, air tools, shampoo and water extraction equipment, hoses, extension cords, and other equipment.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate motorized and electric vehicles on and off the property and as required to perform errands, shop and perform work-related duties and assignments.
- Ability to lift, climb, turn, twist, kneel, walk and otherwise push or pull equipment and supplies as delivered to the facility or otherwise distributed throughout the facility.
- Ability to safely lift, move, stack and otherwise stow or retrieve cases, bags, boxes, or other packages of supplies and inventory: unaided; up to 40 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to work on a ladder or step stool as required to perform duties.
- Ability to read signs and instructions posted or otherwise provided in English.
- Basic inventory control and management skills.
- Basic mathematical, reading, writing, comprehension and reasoning skills: in English.
- Basic communication skills: in English
- Ability to follow directions and execute assignments with minimal supervision.
- Time management and basic employee administrative skills
- Basic Emergency Response skills in the event of injury, medical, fire, water, Hazmat or other incident.
- Knowledge and proficiency with basic recognition of Hazmat and hazardous materials .
- Basic knowledge and willingness to utilize PPE appropriate to the task or assignment.
- Knowledge, understanding and willingness to comply with all requirements specified in Employee Handbook and as otherwise required by Management.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as directed.
- Notify the Facilities Manager of any concerns or problems.
REQUIRED/RECOMMENDED SKILLS & CREDENTIALS:
- Valid Driver’s License, required.
- Ability to obtain and lawfully hold such permits and licenses as may be required to spray pesticides, herbicides & other chemicals; manage pool chemistry; and administer first aid.
- Must be trained, fit tested, and capable of performing work and emergency duties while wearing a mask and/or respirator and other PPE.
- Must be able to work with hand, power, and other tools, whether in the shop, in the field, and at various heights.
- Attendance, the ability to follow a schedule, track projects and complete work/admin related paperwork are required. Work environment requires significant interaction with Members, other departments and guests.
- Mathematical, reading & comprehension skills, required.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish), recommended.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Must know how to swim and be able to perform tasks in water without the aid of breathing apparatus.
- Basic skills in disciplines such as carpentry, mechanical ability plumbing, electrical repair, HVAC maintenance, painting, pneumatics, hydraulics, logic/programming, diagnostics, and troubleshooting are required.
- Prior knowledge, experience and basic skills are required. Some computer and smart phone skills are required.
